The pop-out rollers at a major clothing distributor suffered from premature wear because of repeated contact with the transport trays, needing to be replaced regularly. Installing Flexco Segmented Transfer Plates in place of the rollers saved the facility approximately $500 in parts and at least 80 hours in labor a year.
The site supervisor of an extensive infrastructure project in Europe was having a major issue with spillage on their high-angle conveyor belt. Upon installation, the success of the Flexco Dual Seal Polyurethane Skirting was immediate, preventing material spillage and significantly decreasing dust emissions.
A gold mine in western New South Wales was experiencing significant belt mistracking to both sides due to ineffective belt trackers. The Flexco PTEZ™ Belt Trainer changed that by setting the belt straight and decreasing downtime for repairs and clean up.
A busy aggregate plant was experiencing carryback on a walkway in which employees and visitors passed below a conveyor, which was leading to citations and fines from MSHA. The CBS Continuous Blade Secondary Cleaner from Flexco, paired with an air tensioner, now provides the constant blade-to-belt contact needed to eliminate both carryback and MSHA citations.
Slip hazards and excessive clean-up time were problematic for a confectionery operation that was experiencing large amounts of waste on the return side of its conveyor. Sticky product was adhering to the steel belt and falling to the floor, so a secondary belt cleaner was badly needed.
Flex-lag® Ceramic Pulley Lagging was the specified product of choice for this large mine site in the Pilbara, Western Australia. After 20 years in an unforgiving iron ore environment, that pulley lagging is still providing positive traction and no slippage.
A port in Australia agreed to a trial of Flexco polyurethane skirting, to measure its wear life versus a competitive product, which was only lasting eight weeks before tearing and becoming ineffective. More than 24 weeks later, Flexco was still going strong.
An Australian Iron Ore site had stationary trackers installed that did not move with the belt, resulting in a multitude of problems. The site changed out all the trackers on the belt, replacing each with a PT Max™ Belt Trainer, and removed all previous issues – including belt damage and spillage.
When a major food operation in India struggled with product scrap, productivity issues, clean up, and most importantly belt mistracking due to material carryback on the mixer reversible belt, the FGP Food Grade Precleaner from Flexco was the answer.
Just having the right product solutions isn't always enough. This was the case when a Flexco representative helped his customer recognize that simply paying attention to transition distances was the key to eliminate spillage and dust at the load zone.
